Nifuji introduced a paper entitled “Nascent RNA scaffolds contribute to chromosome territory architecture and counter chromatin compaction” Molecular Cell 81, 3509–3525, September 2, 2021, which described that nascent transcripts including repeat-rich, non-coding, and introns-derived transcripts, contribute a dynamic structural role that promotes the open architecture of active chromosome territories.
